Rhythm Games for Therapeutic Outcomes
Online (Zoom): Saturday 28th November 2026
10am-3pm (AEDT), with 1 hour lunch break.
Rhythm is a powerful tool for supporting expression, connection and wellbeing.
This workshop explores Djembe and percussion-based games and facilitation techniques grounded in trauma-informed practice, designed to build self-awareness, emotional expression, communication and social connection.
The activities offer accessible, non-verbal ways to support participants in settings where words alone can feel difficult or insufficient, making this workshop especially relevant for those working in mental health, AOD recovery, youth work, disability support and community settings.
These tools help create safe, supportive spaces for participants to connect with themselves, others and the group.
This workshop runs as a single 4-hour session.
Drumming for All-Abilities
Online (Zoom): returning in 2027
West African-inspired drumming offers a powerful social and psychological tool that enriches learning, healing, and personal growth across various contexts. The games and activities presented in this course are designed for carers, therapist and educators to help individuals enhance their capacity for building meaningful relationships through mindfulness and collaboration.
Further, they may support each individuals’ ability for emotional regulation through the stimulation of both brain hemispheres and the subsequent reduction of vulnerability to the reactivity of pre-existing inner states of being.
Participants are required to attend both sessions together.
